JS.com challenge
A few weeks ago there was a challenge at JS.com to scrap using the ad campaign by Nikon "I am..."
This is what I came up with. I always feel pulled in so many directions, but I am still happy to be in the middle of it. I think I conveyed that here.

Christmas Card!!
I used the "Sassy Season" kit by In the Making Designs to do our Christmas card this year. I love how it turned out. I was trying to give a little info, but still be card style instead of a letter.

On random
Elle's Studio at js.com came out with these great Holiday journaling cards. There are a ton of them with perfectly simple sayings. I just might use them for our Christmas card this year! Anyway, they inspired me to do a page about how David and I met. Fun stuff!
Journaling:"I couldn’t go home for the Christmas holidays because I had to work. I watched all of my roommates leave and I was sure it was going to be the worst Christmas ever. But, instead I met you. And fell in love in the peace of the Holidays. Christmas means a lot of things, but it always reminds me of our beginning."
Che has a fall collab kit at mscraps that is really fun! I love the non traditional fall colors. And these are some of my very, very, very favorite pictures of my son. But, they are Horrible quality. Very low resolution. I spent a lot of time trying to make them look as good as a could, and then kept them small!
This page was inspired by Nisa's (Spendid Fiins) oval vintage frames. I have been thinking a lot about my Great Grandmother lately, not sure why. This picture was taken at my wedding. She lived to be 100, and was awesome to the very end!
Journaling: "I know that I don't have any right to wish that you were still around. You gave this world 100 amazing years. But my kids never got to know you. They know your picture though, and when they ask, "whose that Mom?" I say,"a very special lady. and this is what she taught me "The world has enough people who are tough; we need people who are tender. There are enough people who are coarse; we need people who are kind. There are enough people who are rude; we need people who are refined. We have enough people of fame and fortune; we need more people of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity."

School Pages
I was a little wary of using these rub-ons. As I don't usually use elements like that. But it inspired me to do this layout with some of the questions he asked about the third grade before he started and I really like it!
Credits
The title was actually a mistake. I was going to put 2nd Grade, but then I liked the repeat of the number...so I left it.

Scrap Time
Do you know what happens when I have no kids and more time to scrap? I spend waaaay to long on each page...really it is not good. Here are the products of my kid free time: (one more to come on Wed.)
Baseball is part of New England life. Seriously people talk about it, wear it, sing it, play it. Its Everywhere. None of us are huge fans...but, by necessity we are learning.

Summer = Cape Cod
As soon as the weather gets warmer my husband is itching to go to the Cape. We went this last weekend, and I am sure we will go again before the summer is over. I need to because this trip was a little to cold for me:)

you are happy
My kids just got into a magnet school so we will be changing schools in the Fall. We are all a little nervous, but it is the best for the whole family...I think, hope. The hard part is there isn't anything wrong with the current school, when it is two good choices it is a tough decision!

Why!
This is my answer to a co-worker who wonders why people give up freedom for kids.
