2013--Week 8

Finding it hard to keep up with these this year, but I am still going to try!

Wondering

5 years ago I did a layout called "Wondering" basically telling my kids how I felt about being their mother right then and what our life was like.

I thought it would be fun to do another one since our life now is So very different.

It is interesting to me that the first one was a lot about me because back then I controlled our world.  My kids didn't really have their own life separate from me.  Now they do and a lot of the time I feel like I am just watching their lives take off.

Challenges

I have been challenging myself to keep scrapping by doing a few different things.

I really love using the pictures David is taking these days, so that is easy.

This one was an effort to document the everyday things I want to remember.  I use to be much better at that.

This was literally a challenge at P&Co.  It was the executive level for Feb.  Fun Stuff!

2013: Week 3 and 4

Project Life 2013

Here we go again.  I just got my book from 2012 and I love it!  This year I am going to be consistent with the design and I am using the My Life Story templates by Biograffiti.  I learned after going through the printing process that I need to be careful about stuff on the edges.  I had to go pack and move things on too many pages last year.  I also did a title page this year because I wanted one last year, but I was too tired after all the editing to make one.  The words "be still" on my title page are my words for this year.  I want to be still and in the moment.  Be still and learn from the people around me.  Be still and enjoy where I am.  Be still and wait patiently for what I want.  Be still and feel the spirit.  

Psalms 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God."

New Motivation

I got some new scrapping motivation with the new store Pixels & Co.  It has been fun to be active in an online gallery again.

Project life 2013 is complete! Yes!  Now I just have to get a book printed...

Week 37

Non-picture page for this week.  I really love it though, because back to school really is back to the schedule for us.  I literally just added to this what was in my daily calendar for the week.

This page has a sad, sad, story.  The photoshop file didn't save correctly so I can't save a high resolution image for printing.  Which means eventually I have to go back and re-create the page.  Urg!

These project life layouts are getting daunting.  But I am determined to finish the year.  And I really like this page:)

While I was doing the Class I also did this page of my youngest.  She makes me laugh.

Ten

He turned ten awhile ago, but I finally did a page about it.  I did this with Digi-in deeper class at jessicasprague.com.  I learned how to make things that look hand made using the lasso tool, how to make a sepia vignette, how to make a brush set, that I can drag and drop into photoshop directly from windows explorer, and how to make a stroke line set inside a shape.  Good Class!

I don't usually do two page spreads, but I think I might more often.  I like this page.
